Best region for Sauvignon Blanc.
We definitely agree that the Stellenbosch region is one of the most prosperous areas to harvest the most mouth-watering Sauvignon Blancs. Olivia Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is a must try with its toasty sweetness from the touch of old French oak and lees contact that complements the smooth and creamy texture. But do not forget our Sauvignon Blanc 2018 receiving 4 stars in the renowned Platter’s Diners as well as a Gold Award at the South African Woman Wine and Spirit Awards SAWWA.
The Simonsberg Mountain named after Simon van der Stel, first governor of the Cape and founder and namesake of Stellenbosch. Simonsberg located between the towns of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek forming a 1.399-meter high mountain. Astonishing to see, right on our doorstep.
Jonkershoek nature reserve.
The Jonkershoek reserve is an easy 16 minutes drive from Le Pommier Wine Estate which enables our guests to spend the day at the reserve for a day filled with hiking and admiring the creatures of the earth in their natural habitat. The reserve is about 9 800 hectares and includes a smaller reserve of about 204 hectares, Assegaaibosch nature reserve. The smaller reserve is home to the historical Assegaaibosch farmstead, a national monument built in 1792, while both reserves are World Heritage Sites.
